Oil Free Air Compressor Maintenance
Werther knows that the greatest advantage to having an oil free air compressor is the low maintenance that’s required since the lubed cylinder doesn’t require oil changes. However, we understand that you may have questions about maintenance. We recommend the following maintenance checks periodically, but also feel free to call Werther today if you have any maintenance concerns!
Check the Air Compressor Safety Valve
The valve should close automatically by itself. You can test the safety of the valve by plugging in the compressor and running it so it reaches the shut-off pressure. After this, pull outwards on the safety valve ring to release pressure from the tank, and the valve should close automatically.
Drain the Air Compressor Tank
Werther recommends draining the tank of water after every use because of the condensation that occurs from the air being drawn into the air compressor’s tank.
Check the Air Compressor Filter
Replace the air filter if there is dirt buildup or wear. The air filter is usually located underneath the plastic housing.
Inspect the Air Compressor
Examine the power cord, tank, hoses, valves, and seals for any signs of damage, rips or tears.
Werther insists that proper safety gear and glasses are warn if you’re checking the oil-free air compressor.Click Here To Request A Quote or call us today at 800-972-7668
